Iris Sandkühler
Iris Sandkühler is a professional artist and jeweler who lives and teaches in the Bay Area. Specializing in chain work and fusing techniques, her Viking Knit designs are in the process of being included in a McGraw Hill textbook. Sandkühler received a BFA in glass and MFA in mixed media drawing/painting from Ohio State University. She studied jewelry at the Jewelry Arts Institute in Manhattan and pioneered the small metals program at Georgia Southern University. Her exhibition record includes solo shows in Berlin and Tokyo. In addition, the White House owns one of her pieces. She currently teaches jewelry and fine arts in the San Francisco Bay Area.
